Erling Haaland Cuts His Long Hair Ahead of New Season

Erling Haaland has traded his signature long hair for a much shorter look just before the new Premier League season. The Manchester City striker surprised fans when he revealed a buzz cut ahead of the club’s opening match against Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium.

Haaland’s long blonde hair has become one of his most recognizable features, making the sudden change an easy talking point. He arrived at the stadium wearing a cap, but removed it during the warmup, giving supporters their first clear look at the new haircut.

The hairstyle quickly spread across social media. During a video on Haaland’s YouTube channel, former Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic joked about the change, asking whether Haaland had “lost a bet.” Ibrahimovic also asked, “You gonna be faster now, or what?”

Former Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola had his own reaction. Referring to Haaland’s hair, Guardiola said, “You’re lucky to have hair. I would love to have it!”

The new haircut did not immediately improve Haaland’s finishing. He missed two good chances during City’s 2-1 victory over Bournemouth, although the result gave Manchester City a winning start.

Haaland’s buzz cut has added a fresh talking point to the start of the new season. While his hairstyle has changed, attention will remain firmly on his goals and performances for Manchester City.
